How is it that in the Unied Kingdom we can’t find anyone qualified and willing with a big smile on their face to run RBS for a £1.2million per year salary?
Seriously, I can’t believe that there aren’t great people out there able and willing to do that job for that money.
The role is to lead a big team (lots of people), you don’t have to do all of the work yourself, you can delegate.
There will still only be 24 hours in a day, you won’t be expected to be at the grindstone for each and every one of them. Come to think of it there’s unlikely to be a grindstone, more likely a plush office and plenty of tea and biscuits.
Come on someone who is qualified that has a decent moral compass, offer yourself up to the task. £1.2 million per year to be a decent leader of a previously tarnished company.
Make yourself into a national hero (and be paid handsomly for it).
