My professional specialism

is organisation development, which means helping clients to get the balance of strategy, people and systems right, to enable them to get the best productivity, performance and profit. I’m a certified management consultant, and am proud to wear the badge of the Institute of Business Consultants.

The broader me

When they told me that I couldn’t colour my sheep blue, I knew that it wasn’t going to be the place for me. (Methodist Sunday school, age 7).
I left and have been pushing boundaries ever since.

I have a fascination with chimps and have the lovely Chatta at Monkey World adopted for me each year.

Since seeing the inspirational psychiatrist Dr Steve Peters give his Gold Medal Mindset lecture in London a few years ago I have been developing a deeper interest in, and understanding of the brain. What an amazing tool we each have at our disposal. And what an extraordinary resource businesses have when they harness the power of the ones that they have access to.

I have been intrigued by maps of various kinds for most of my life, the more I work with them the more important they become. I developed the Real Treasure Map process when I realised how valuable it is to bridge the inner world of thinking and ideas, with the outer world of action and outcomes.

Art has been and remains a fundamental source of stimulation and inspiration. Childish blue sheep ultimately helped to define me, became my first degree and is never far away.

Books are amongst my most prized posessions. They feed my brain and take most of my money. I think it’s a bargain.

Magic (of the conjouring kind) has become my most recent obsession. Since hiring Nick Fitzherbert to do a 90 minute presentation for a company that I was working at. I simply can’t leave it alone. The brains and skill of magicians is great to see in action, and such a valuable tool for business that I wish I’d stumbled across it years ago.

Greenday, so much energy and passion for what they do. Holding a Wembly crowd spelbound for hours, great to be caught up in it.
