My professional specialism

is helping my clients tell their stories to their prospective (and existing) clients through clear, succinct, and compelling words. Or to put it another way, I write content for my clients’ marketing materials that engages their target audiences and makes them want to find out more.

I work for numerous sectors from business coaches and beauty, to health and safety, housing, hospitality, and education. Yes, it’s varied but that’s what I love about it!

I get a real buzz from finding out about different business types, their audiences and the markets they operate in. With my PR and marketing background I also help clients develop and define their ideas as well as finding the right words to communicate with their audiences.

The broader me

Books – I can’t imagine my life without them and panic if I leave the house without something to read.

I was lucky enough to be read to every night by my parents: they gave me my love of words and story telling, and it’s now how I earn my keep.

Favourite fiction includes ‘The Shadow of the Wind’ – Carlos Ruiz Zafon, ‘Behind the Scenes at the Museum’ – Kate Atkinson, and ‘I Capture the Castle’ – Dodie Smith. Favourite non-fiction includes, ‘Wedlock’ – Wendy Moore, ‘Hey, Whipple, Squeeze This’ – Luke Sullivan, ‘Blink’ and ‘Tipping Point’ – Malcolm Gladwell.

Places. West Cornwall is my favourite place to be – particularly Cape Cornwall and Zennor. I love the creativity, the landscape, and that it takes so long to get there.

Winter is my favourite time of year – cold, sunny days with bright blue skies are best.

The Aurora Borealis is the most amazing, awe-inspiring, breath-taking, and moving thing I’ve ever experienced.

Audrey Hepburn is my heroine and vintage fashion, ballet, opera, indie music, and football are among my other great loves. But I hate slugs and bluebottles.
